There are a number of core technologies covered in this book, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL. Using them you will learn how to create websites and, web applications and even downloadable apps for iOS and Android devices. Of course you may not use all of them at any one time, but you are sure to use combinations of some of them for most of your mobile apps.
HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language and is the combination of text and tags that forms the basic structure of all web pages. In this chapter the most commonly used HTML 4.01 tags are explained, along with examples of how to use them.
